Les candidats devront démontrer en quoi leurs compétences et leur parcours leur permettront de remplir la mission avec succès.
Un très haut niveau d'anglais et de franais, à l'écrit comme à l'oral, sont essentiels. Des compétences en traduction et interprétariat sont également requises, ainsi qu'une bonne connaissance des organisations gouvernementales Franaise et Australienne.
Duty Statement
1. Undertake translations for the Embassy, and in particular, translation of more complex and specialised texts and speeches. Translate press releases on important announcements by the Australian Government and its agencies. Conduct research required for translations and correspondence
2. Accompany and interpret for visitors and officers of the Embassy when necessary
3. Assist in the discharge of the Ambassador's representational functions, and other functions of the Ambassador's office as required.
4. Along with other members of the unit, maintain lists of contacts in the government, business and other organisations.
5. Prepare correspondence in French for the Embassy. Assist with back-up clerical duties if required
6. Interpret for visitors at their official meetings if required (back-up to Protocol, Visits and Transport Manager)
7. Other duties as directed

Selection Criteria:
1. Very high level of fluency in both spoken and written French and English
2. High level translating and interpreting skills
3. Sound knowledge of the structure of French government and business
4. Good knowledge of Australia an advantage
