The Intellectual Property Counsel reports to the Senior Counsel - Intellectual Property.

His scope of activities concerns business located in Florence, U.K., France, Germany and U.S.
His role is to provide in-house counselling to respective business managers and technical personnel on all intellectual property-related matters i.e :

- Committing in patent prosecution strategies, research and development agreements and protection of trade secrets.
- drafting, negotiating and managing licenses, third party technology developments, and non-disclosure agreements, assignments, franchise agreements, competition, distribution and product liability.
- managing contested matters and litigation issues
- coordinating trademark applications and management;
- providing other assistance and support to R&D and Legal department staff as required.

He also directly supports the Senior Counsel for Intellectual Property.


- Degree in Law, with a specialisation in IP
- A 10 years minimum experience in dealing with IP transactions gained either in-house or in a law firm
- Experienced in contested matters including litigation
- Thorough expert knowledge of laws, rules, regulations and practice under U.S. and/or major European national and regional patent systems.
- Ability to manage outside counsel.
- Proven ability to quickly identify, prioritize and analyze issues, to create solutions, to communicate in a counselling role, to work effectively as team with all levels of management.
- Fluent in English (spoken& written) . Italian or french would be an asset
- Clear communication skills - written and spoken.
