ASPIRE is now looking for a motivated and dynamic professional to fill the following position SPORTS & SOCIAL SCIENCE IT SENIOR OFFICER.

The candidate develops and implements an information management framework essential for the Mental Test and Training System (MTTS), School, Champions Education Program (CEP), and Career Management (CM). You integrate the existing hardware & software into data management structure, coordinate IT needs of the MTTS and the CM in collaboration with ASPIRE's Information Management System (AIMS) System Analyst and Developers, develop and modify IT software for various QESA (Dept of Quality Management, Education and Social Affairs) purposes, provide IT advice to Sport & Social Scientists, Social Affairs staff and staff in education, give IT support for Sport & Social Science research, and link and communicate QESA IT needs to ASPIRE IT support. Other duties and responsibilities include, but not limited, to: cooperate with AIMS Development Team and other relevant ASPIRE departments, update and maintain the latest sport science and social science IT knowledge, submit periodic reports to the Dean, assume all authorities outlined in the authorities schedules, undertake any special studies and duties as requested by the Dean, update and maintain Social Affairs (SAF), CEP and school databases, and update and monitor SAF and school specific IT software (SPSS, AMOS) and programs (BFB, e-learning).

Academic Qualifications : Bachelor/ Master Degree in IT or Bachelor in Sports Science with an emphasis on IT - Competencies and Skills : Programming in various languages, Exp with the usage of statistical software (e.g. SPSS), Creative and task oriented, Personal sports exp desirable, Methodological understanding of social science research design, Fluent in English - Work Experience : Minimum of 4 years in sports or social science related IT programming - Personal Traits : Organized, analytical, innovative, responsible, reliable, disciplined, motivated, and a Team Player

This position in Qatar will entitle the right person to a generous package, consisting of base salary, housing allowance, transport allowance, medical, etc.
