In order to provide sustainable benefits to the business through professional purchasing, our client is looking for a Group Indirect Purchasing Manager.
Mission:
Deliver sustainable benefits (cost savings, reduced risk to supply) to the business from the purchasing and supply management of the Equipment, Fixtures and fittings categories of expenditure. Potential spend in scope of 50m+, 30+ suppliers, 20 key stakeholders. Spend comes from up to 10 different operating companies.
Responsibilities:
You report to Head of Purchasing who reports to Group GNFR Purchasing Director.
Main responsibilities:
� Deploying the purchasing process appropriately relevant to the scale of expenditure, level of risk to supply and complexity of requirements
� Establishing purchasing and supply management strategies for the defined category of expenditure
� Negotiating with suppliers
� Ensuring all agreements with suppliers are in writing and in place prior to the start of business
� Delivering business benefits which meet or exceed targets
� Meeting the requirements of company�s governance and policy manual which includes the company Code of Conduct
Requirements:
� Degree qualified, 4 years university (BAC +4) or upper education, likely to have further qualification in purchasing/ business management
� At least 6 to 8 years of exp., 2 of which in purchasing capital expenditure
� Experience of purchasing for multiple operating companies/ business units/ P&L�s
� In depth experience of identifying and working with suppliers across the world
� Experience of working in more than one country is an advantage
� Ideally got experience in retail industry or experience of more than one industry sector
� Empathetic with people � listens and takes on board requirements
� High standards of professionalism
� Challenges existing purchasing practices in a positive way
� Focuses on making change happen, influencing skills to do this
� Tenacious in achieving results
� Curious � a desire to investigate and question, open and transparent in working style
� Capable of handling ambiguity and potential conflict
� Good and demonstrable knowledge of contract law
� Fluent in both French and English
